Description:

  • Also known as Bryggerens Have, the gardens of Carlsberg Byen can be found next door to the Carlsberg Museum and Visitor's Centre and make up one of Copenhagen's most secret and attractive parks. Established and drawn up by the brewer J.C. Jacobsen himself in the mid 19th-century, the smallish gardens have been created after the English style and house a number of rare plants and trees that the brewer had come into contact with on his many travels abroad. Jacobsen's villa is situated in the gardens, which were privately owned by the family; thus it is only very recently that these gardens have been made open to the public.
