Description:

  • This castle was created in 1705 by Count C. Ahlefeldt, and was rebuilt in 1742 by Laurits von Thura. Since then it has been a popular summer residence of the Royal Family, especially several kings and princes up to 1947. The outer buildings of the castle are still inhabited by members of the Danish Royal Family. The park is open to the public.
