- When ZeBu opened in 2010, Copenhagen was given a new children's theater; and although ZeBu is supported by the municipality to serve the immediate local area, it is also a theater for the whole of Copenhagen. Unlike other children's theaters in the city, ZeBu encompasses a broad spectrum of performing arts that includes dance, making it much more accessible to non-Danish-speaking children. The theater makes its own productions as well as inviting touring companies to perform inhouse, with shows for much older children exploring serious issues as well. ZeBu also the produce the biannual Spring Festival, a chance to experience children's theater from all over the world and of the highest caliber .
