Description:
In a historic house that dates from 1900, this restaurant nestles in the old Judería, midway between the Mezquita and the landmark Plaza Tendillas. In fair weather tables are placed outside around an old fountain in a courtyard surrounded by horseshoe arches. Inside, the traditional Andalusian atmosphere is cozy. In business for 2 decades, the restaurant serves reliable regional favorites with a carte featuring affordable regional wines. Our favorite dish is the zarzuela de pescado (an assorted kettle of fresh fish cooked in their own juices). The sirloin a la serrana, another favorite, is a sirloin stuffed with Serrano ham and serves it with a white sauce alongside mushrooms and fresh asparagus. Homemade desserts are prepared daily.
