Trekking out to the city's northern tier will convince visitors there's a lot more to Córdoba than medieval neighborhoods. The restaurant occupies the most distant corner of a long, narrow, and slightly battered square. It was created as part of the courtyard that fronts a residential apartment complex, whose entranceway opens onto the busy traffic of the Ronda de la Terrera. In a style that evolved in the late 1970s, it is behind a moderno entrance of varnished pine. Popular among members of Córdoba's business community, the superb cuisine here makes it one of the finest restaurants in the city. The cooking technique is impeccably sharp and precise. Some of the best examples include filets of pork in sherry sauce, a divine foie gras of goose, and an extraordinary magret of duckling flavored with port. For dessert, we are particularly fond of the tarta de chocolate y naranja (an orange-flavored chocolate tart).
