  • Cork is a city, and in a place like Ireland where it can be like you entered the 14th Century just by taking a short walk out of town, that means you have more than just a selection of doom-fried, slab of cod smothered by an insufferable amount of chips. You can have everything from tandoori to Mexican, curry to Chinese, but if you're feeling daring, the historical foods of Cork include crubeens, tripe, and drisheen, or, in layman's terms, boiled pigs feet, sauteed animal stomach (Hot Dog on a Stick really needs to get on this), and a specialized version of Blood Pudding. Now, that's not to say everyone in Cork is eating these things or the whole of Ireland is currently drunk off Jameson and eating oatmeal while staring at the sheep in a wanton way, but for those who dare to do new things, we're just throwing it out there.
