Description:
- Mizen Head is the southernmost tip of Ireland; it has steep and dramatic cliffs, which are often lashed by storms. Mizen Head Signal Station is both a lighthouse and visitors' centre. Inside the centre, one finds a detailed private and political history of the district, offering many fascinating insights into the solitary nature of the guard's daily life. There are also displaces, which include a Navigational Aids Simulator of Mizen Head. There is a Mizen Cafe, Gift Shop and parking. A fine headland walk takes in views of vertiginous cliffs and Atlantic breakers.
