Description:
This chunk of ocean-side paradise is easily the most beautiful and well-appointed hotel on the island. The row of cottage-style rooms might look unassuming from the island roadway, but on the other side they face a nicely tiled pool and long rock shore of palm trees and small patches of lawn. Rooms are large with every type of modern amenity, including a coffeemaker, small kitchenette, and blessedly silent air conditioner. The beds are big and comfortable and the bathrooms are medium-size and immaculate. The rooms are lined along a beachfront garden, which features a resident monkey and iguana for entertainment. The hotel's restaurant provides excellent seafood and hearty breakfasts.
Canadian owner Larry is a perfect, gregarious host and the staff is equipped to set up many organized tours. Though the Casa Canada's particular slice of actual sandy beach is very small, since this whole island is one big beach, that should not be a problem. The only possible annoyance is the sound of crashing waves a few feet from your doorway -- but I think that's an asset.
