Description:

  • The only off-highway riding on the Trabuco Ranger District is at the Wildomar OHV Area resting east of the San Mateo Canyon Wilderness. Trails and the adjoining campground were made possible with the California OHV registration fees ("green stickers"). A fee is charged for overnight use of the campground. All vehicles must be registered and have a USDA Forest Service approved spark arrester.

The OHV area encompasses 360 acres offering over four miles of trails. Trailhead site has both drinking water and restrooms. Eleven first-come, first-served campsites are found half a mile south of the OHV Trailhead. The campground accommodates RVs up to 22' in length, has vault toilets, fire rings, and tables. The site is open all year and provides an OHV trail to the OHV riding area.
