• Agapi has a range of accommodations, from basic rooms to apartments with kitchens, in a treehouse courtyard setting in the sliver of rainforest between the main road and the waters edge. The showers are good and hot, and the rooms clean and nicely appointed, with fans and mosquito nets that come very in handy. The upstairs rooms have views of the ocean. The pool is refreshing and a highlight of the grounds, next to a polished dark wood gazebo where breakfast is served, and which serves as a little bar. Bikes are available to rent on site and are the perfect way to explore the area, and it's a short ride to the center of Puerto Viejo and a litle longer one to Punta Uva and Manzanillo. A foot path leads right to Agapi from Salsa Brava in Puerto Viejo, and stretches to Cocles, the closest swimming beach. Good for families, couples, and solo travelers.
