This resort is huge, hundred of rooms form a horseshoe facing the beach. The style is Spanish colonial, and the rooms are all large and well-decorated. Big bathrooms are not the norm in Costa Rica, but these have plenty of rooms. Rooms that overlook the ocean are the best and most coveted, especially since some of them have balconies with seating perfect for watching the sunset.
Kids really love exploring the pool, a sprawling maze that replicated the canals of Venice in child size.The nearby beach here is not the prettiest, and it's the 18-hole golf course that winds through the forest nearby that is worth checking out, even if you're not an avid golfer. The casino on site is another bonus for some.
As a Marriott, this expansive resort has all the bells and whistles one might hope to expect, including a mini-golf course, spa, and tennis courts.
