If you're anywhere near the Marriott at Los Suenos, you may as well splurge on dinner at El Nuevo Latino, you won't be disappointed. It's fancy, with soaring ceilings, a glistening cool pool, and semi-formal service, but the dress code only requires that you wear a shirt with your shorts, so you can still show up in flip flops after the beach. As its name suggests, the offerings here are modern and creative twists on traditional Latin American favorites, such as the highly recommended tenderloin in guava-black pepper sauce, and the emphasis is on fresh local ingredients. Despite the luxurious setting, entrees still start at $16 and max out at $42, so you can sleep knowing you haven't quite broken the bank. Seating is limited, and reservations are strongly suggested.
