Creative plates from all corners of the globe made with lots of local colorful ingredients make this little restaurant stand out, as does the super-sized bright orange flip-flop sign marking the entrance to this formerly tiny place. Originally it was tucked into a corner stall in a mini-mall a few meters away, but once word got out that this place had tasty, affordable cuisine and a nice vibe, it wasn't long before Flip-Flop needed more space, and since its re-opening in new digs across from the hardware store, it seems to be back in the swing of things. You'll rarely if ever have to wait for a table even at lunch time, and with options as diverse as hot dogs, soul food, and thai, even picky diners will find something they can eat. As one may expect, flip flops are the standard dress code, and shirts are most definitely not required. Flip Flop has a facebook page where specials are advertised, and it is a good place to meet fellow travelers as well as locals.
