Description:

  • Jean Cocteau, Renoir, and even Modigliani used to pass by the front door of this authentic Provençal mansion. The restored 14th-century villa opens onto a large terrace with Florentine-inspired columns set in a well-landscaped Mediterranean garden with terraces. The bougainvillea provides extra color for the palm and orange trees, with white laurel blooming 8 months a year. All of the small-to-midsize bedrooms and suites are furnished with a personal touch and decorated with both antiques and modern works of art. Many of the rooms open onto sea views, and old-fashioned charm is found around every corner. It's almost like staying in a private Provençal home. Guests convene in the living room with its old paintings, fine linen curtains, and rich velvet draperies.
