- The Horseshoe reef is one of the most popular dive spots in the world famous Palancar Reef. It has been named for the giant coral heads that form a horseshoe shape, 80 feet below the surface. It is a favorite among expert divers and underwater photographers for the variety of marine life. Moray eels, barracudas, sharks and other species gather in droves here and with a visibility range from 150 to 250 feet, it is possible to see into even deeper waters.
