- The lodge was built in the early 1900s in the green forest of Lake Tahoe. Much of the rustic architecture remains today and makes this the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Cabin accommodations are complete with kitchens, silverware and dishes. But be warned; you will find no telephones here. However, you can bring your pets. The Lodge rooms are cozy and comfortable with private baths. The marina provides the gateway for activities such as parasailing, jet skiing and sport fishing. The paddlewheeler M.S. Dixie II offers tours of the lake and Emerald Bay.
