Public Question Asked by Sherrye Lewis about Crystal Bay
Would you recommend Lake Tahoe for 4th of July fireworks celebration
My husband and I have been to the Mall in DC and Mt Rushmore. We were thinking Lake Tahoe would be another great place to see the fireworks. Whatcha think.

To be honest, I have never been to the fireworks at Tahoe. I have stayed in town and have gone to Rancho San Rafael, or even downtown Sparks. I have friends that have gone and they love it! You have to get there super early, I'm talking like 10 am and spending the day at the beach. They are full by the time night falls. Not too sure where the best spot is to view them from, I just know the beaches are crowded.

Hi, I live here, near Lake Tahoe. Each town celebrates differently, with parades and/or fireworks. The town of Truckee has a parade in it's old western-style downtown, and a fireworks display at Lake Donner. Several Lake Tahoe resorts have fireworks, the Hyatt in Incline Village, NV and Sunnyside, Homewood, CA. Both hotels have boating and water activites/beach access. Tahoe is great for the 4th!
