Description:
This family-owned, cozy, and centrally located, though well hidden, hostal is a quiet, genial place that retains a great deal of the flavor of a 19th-century Cusco colonial house. Set back from a busy street across an interior patio, it has just eight rooms, a few of which are great values. Room nos. 101 (which fronts a small garden) and 103, both of which have functioning wood-burning fireplaces and exposed stone walls, are my favorites. They're large and comfortable, with hardwood floors and a smattering of antiques as well as clean tile bathrooms. Other rooms are also nice, if not quite as unique. The owners will prepare dinners on request.
