• Walking into Aldea Yanapay's restaurant feels like entering a toddler's dream house. Board games are scattered about in unlikely places, large stuffed animals are propped up in the sofas and chairs and every color of the rainbow adorns the walls of this circus-like establishment. The menus come in the form of children's school folders, and include an impressive variety of soups, salads, pizzas, finger foods and a kids menu. Since 2004, Aldea Yanapay has been operating as an educational social project benefiting children in the Cusco region, and all proceeds of the restaurant directly benefit and sustain their after school programs and cultural center. A great restaurant with a great cause to frequent with the family, Aldea Yanapay also have a hostel offering private and dormitory style accommodation with equally whimsical decorations. The restaurant itself offers a daily set menu, book exchange, and accepts in-kind or monetary donations.
