Family owned and run restaurant, Maikhana, offers the most authentic taste of India in Cusco. The restaurant is known for its plentiful lunch and dinner buffet offered daily with unlimited rice and mineral water. As the buffet selection varies often, friendly and helpful family members are always present to describe each dish and to warn diners of the spicier selections. One can sit on one of their small balconies and observe the hustle and bustle of Avenida del Sol, or alternatively sit indoors and enjoy a cricket or football match, Bollywood film or the occasional Pink Panther cartoon. Open from 11am-11pm Monday through Sunday; there is no a la carte menu and drinks are available separately.
