Description:
- Located between the Plaza de Armas and Plaza San Blas, Calle Hatun Rumiyoc provides one of the best examples of Incan architecture and stonework in Cusco. The cobble stoned pedestrian path is lined by large Incan stone walls built with such precision that one cannot insert the blade of a knife between the rocks. Halfway along the pedestrian road you will come across the twelve angled rock, a superb example of the detail and quality of Incan stonework. Around the corner from the twelve angled rock, a cluster of rocks and a little imagination reveal the shape of a puma. The daytime crowds can make it hard to appreciate the grandeur of this Incan architecture, so try to get a glimpse of the street either early in the morning or late at night.
