    • One of the most unusual charms for a middle size town like Cuzco (400.000 inh.) is the fact that you can start walking from the main square and be hiking in the middle of nowhere within perhaps 20 minutes. I' ve lived in Cusco for a good 15 years and try to go hiking every week end. We usually get together everyt Sunday with some other expats and their dogs and climb a different "apu" (Andean sacred mountain) that surround Cusco.
