Museo Hilario Mendívil

Description:

  • This gallery houses a magnificent collection of original works from Cusqueñan craftsman Hilario Mendivil (20th century), a descendent of an old family of craftsman in San Blas who revolutionized popular imagery. He created an original style with the long-neck motif. Most impressive works on hand are the "Virgin of Milk" and the "Virgin of Belen," the altar of Corpus Cristi and the "Wedding of Ñusta Beatriz with Martin of Loyola."
