National Science Museum

Description:

  • You'll find a variety of scientific materials and methods on display here. Permanent exhibits at this museum, located in Expo Park, include a fascinating look at Korea's geological and natural history, and a section on the history of Korean technology. At the center of the museum is the Astronomical Hall, the largest dome in the county. There is also a 242-seat space theater, similar to planetariums, where you can see the night sky projected on the dome. The Permanent Exhibit Hall features over 4,000 natural objects. Outside the hall is Cheomseondae, a structure used to predict the weather during the Goryeo Dynasty. Science and nature documentaries are shown at 11am and 2pm daily. There isn't much in the way of English signage, but it's worth a visit for those interested in science.
