Ngoc Lan Hotel

• This hotel was still scrambling to finish everything up in time for their soft opening in mid 2007. From the outside, it's a gleaming white building that towers over the action on Nguyen Chi Thanh St. There's a purple and white theme throughout the building, so it feels a little bit like being in an oversized doll house. Deluxe rooms are spacious and come with a balcony that has a good view of the lake. Bathrooms have marble-like counter tops, big bathtubs, and separate showers. The furniture is a little chintzy, but the whole thing is neat, tidy, and centrally located.
