• The Best of NileGuide
  • Dallas is alive with day and night music happenings in almost every part of the city. The Sons of Herman Hall is the best club in town to take a non-Texan. The music includes country and rock, though the emphasis is on country. Bands play upstairs and there are bars on both floors, with various bottled beers and mixed drinks. Acts like David Byrne and Ziggy Marley have passed through Deep Ellum. It has changed names often over the years but the performers it books are national-quality talent. Bath House Cultural Center was the city's first neighborhood community cultural center. Focusing on multicultural art and music programs, its exhibits offer a glimpse into other lifestyles and beliefs. In addition, live performances of jazz, harp, saxophone and more are scheduled to accentuate current displays. There's a lot more to Dallas than mechanical bulls and honkytonk, as you'll discover on a tour of the city's many vibrant music venues.
