- It's not apparent by looking at the outside of this busy strip center that it holds Oishii, with it's subtle touches of clever design that give a clue you're in for more than one would expect. Owner and sushi chef Thanh Nguyen Charred works magic at his little sushi bar. Crispy tuna rolls with a spicy jalapeño mayonnaise in lesser hands would be a disaster. Here, daintily battered, flash-fried strips of rare tuna are nestled in perfectly executed sushi rice, ditto the salmon skin rolls. You'll never be disappointed when in the hands of Chef Thanh.
