Really depends on what kind of food you like -- Dallas is a big restaurant town and you'll find lots of great food here. If you like Indian and are up for a groovy experience, try Kalachandji's -- delicious in a lovely setting (if the weather's nice, sit outside on the patio) attached to a Hindu temple. Barbecue is all over town, but most of it isn't as good as it ought to be -- you have to search out the real BBQ joints, some of which are over in Fort Worth. There's great Mexican food all over: For upscale Mexican dining, go to Javier's -- lovely setting and you'll never forget the warm salsa once you have it. For down-market delicious Mexican, head to Maple a couple blocks off Oak Lawn; I don't even know the name of the place, but it's got green and purple neon sign. People also like Ojeda's and Avila's.
