- An academy dedicated to everything glass, the Glass Academy can be found in Dearborn, a few miles away from Detroit, just off Highway 12. An initiative of artists Chris Nordin and Michelle Plucinsky, known for their other studio the Furnace Design Studio, the Glass Academy focuses on educating and promoting the art of making and shaping glass. Visitors to this "academy" can find a range of programs and courses on the glass making process, as well as exhibits on glass, and a variety of other events arranged here. A great place to discover more about this rather unique medium of art, the Glass Academy is definitely worth a visit.
