• The Detroit area's most famous attraction, along with the adjacent Henry Ford Museum, Greenfield Village is a sprawling recreational area depicting bygone days in American life. The working village recreates everyday activities in the 18th and 19th Centuries, with frequent demonstrations of lost arts such as blacksmithing, typesetting and glass blowing. Thomas Edison's Menlo Park workshop is one among many monuments to invention. Historic homes and cabins from across the United States have been relocated or rebuilt here. The village is living history, with its own working farm and frequent events such as baseball games played by rules from the 1860s. Joint admission with the Henry Ford Museum is available.
