• For years the Mayan Theater, operating with only one screen, was a popular destination to catch art and foreign flicks. But Landmark Theaters purchased the art house in 1986 and spent over USD2 million renovating the exterior facade and converting the interior into three separate theaters. Today, the theater shows the hottest and most daring independent and foreign films flooding the market. Noted for its Art Deco Mayan Revival style, the Mayan is one of only three theaters across the nation exhibiting this design. Free parking is available in the lot at 120 Lincoln Street.
