  • Denver nightlife is energetic, funky and welcoming. Anyway you look at it, nights in Denver are never dull. A must-visit for a fun night in Denver is El Chapultepec. Don't mistake El Chapultepec for the hole-in-the-wall Mexican dive bar it appears to be. It hosts excellent live music every night. 5280 Magazine voted it the best joint for live jazz. Even though the great green chili draws plenty of patrons, it is the jazz performances that hold prominence in this place. Local as well as some national legends crowd into the small dining room filled with tacky vinyl booths and play just about every night of the year. Since the LoDo revitalization, this has become a trendy nightspot, so expect a big crowd.

If you're up for some serious mingling, check out the Funky Buddha Lounge. As one of Denver's hottest gathering spots, Funky Buddha has specials every night and offers a fun, unique and cozy atmosphere. The room is small, which makes it conducive for the optimistic "single-mingle."

A lively nightclub in a historic church? That's what The Church is. Located in a turn of the century stone church, this place is Denver's hottest nightspot and trendiest disco. The crowded main dance floor resides where pews once rested and a high tech lighting system flickers among awe-inspiring stained glass windows. Other rooms adjacent to the large dance floor offer sushi and pizza and inviting booths for lounging. For a complete diversion put on the white make-up and black leather and head downstairs to the dimly lit Goth room. Another room downstairs plays host to local bands. Whatever your desires, Denver nightlife has something for you.
