Denver restaurants reflect the diversity of the city and showcase many regional American and international influences. From steakhouses, barbecue joints and local Colorado cuisine to French, Chinese, Indian and Italian cuisine, restaurants in Denver offer appealing choices. A great place to start your Denver dining adventure is at the Rioja. Chef-owner Jennifer Jasinski emerged as Denver's most creatively inspired restaurateur when she opened Rioja in 2004. In the time since, the slick Larimer Square eatery has become a national standout and a darling of food critics. With a copper-topped bar and an atmosphere that's formal without being stuffy, Rioja is the perfect vehicle for Jasinski's menu of contrasting flavors and textures.
A terrific buffet could always be had at India House. Treat yourself to very classy and upscale northern Indian cuisine in downtown Denver. India House will keep you coming back for its Chicken Tikka Masala, venison Jal Farazi, quail Masa Masala, honey roasted duck, rack of lamb curry, Tandoori vegetables, and the Tandoori mixed grill that includes a selection of swordfish, lamb, chicken, seekh kebab, jumbo prawn and more.
For delicious Middle Eastern fare, visit Damascus Restaurant. Driving down Colorado Boulevard, it is easy to pass right by Damascus. Tucked away in an unassuming strip mall, this small restaurant serves excellent Middle Eastern cuisine at an inexpensive price. Locals flock to the tiny, one room establishment, and the tight space fills up quickly. The traditional hummus is tasty, especially spread over baked pita bread, fresh from the oven. Denver restaurants are ready to satisfy your every craving.
