Description:

  • Owner Richard Mitchell has been striking up conversations with world travelers for decades. His hostel features 160 dormitory beds. Guests share bathrooms, kitchens, telephones and laundry facilities. The rooms are plain but relatively clean. The basement lounge provides a place for guests to read, play games or watch television. Couples and families may request private rooms. The neighborhood is four blocks east of the State Capitol. Guests are given keys to the front door for 24-hour access and are encouraged to leave valuables in the office safe. The office is open for check in from 8a-10a and 5p-10:30p.
