In the 1980s, the Denver Tech Center was conceived as the city's version of California's Silicon Valley. Today, well-known companies are indeed housed here, but for locals and visitors alike DTC is Denver's more laid-back alternative to urban entertainment options. Fiddler's Green Amphitheater hosts outdoor summer concerts with big-name stars who often stay at one of the plethora of nearby hotels.
