Description:
- The Blue Bonnet, a Denver dining landmark, is always busy regardless of the hour. The menu is loaded with high-calorie Mexican food and includes everything from burritos to Chile Rellenos smothered in red or green chili. The portions are enormous and to-go boxes are not only available, they are advisable. A sprawling deck is the place to be in the summer, although the only view is of a busy strip mall and of the traffic on Broadway. Pool tables are available and make for good diversions while waiting for a table.

It is like Mexican out of the box, and lost my appetite with all the alternative life style publications in the lobby of the building.

Not just your regular american-type Mexican food.
-
In addition to the traditional fare (burritos, enchiladas and tacos) they have added some more authentic dishes like posole and tamales that are very good.

Good Mexican food for little money. It is very busy on Friday nights but worth the wait time to get to the food. I like the smoothered burritos.
