• Yoisho's is more renowned for what it does not offer, than for what it does. This East Colfax Japanese restaurant is a tiny spot (three tables and a short bar) that does not do sushi, does not do alcohol, does not accept checks or credit cards, and does not allow smoking. But what it does do has earned it a loyal and well-fed clientele who swear by the menu of mainly fried Japanese dishes. The gyoza here are exceptional: small Japanese dumplings filled with meat, cabbage, and a mix of strong and tasty spices. This is Japanese comfort food. Closed on Sundays.
