United States Mint - Denver

  • Yet another popularly visited destination in Denver is the United States Mint. Opened in 1863, visitors will actually witness the stages of coin making and what goes into the entire process. Self-guided tours are regularly conducted that convey informative signs on the minting process. Coming a long way since it was first set-up, the mission of the Mint center is to produce sufficiently enough circulating coins for the whole of United States. One of the oldest establishments in Colorado, all money produced at this center have the denomination "D" inscribed on them. Certainly, a storehouse of American currency that is worth exploring.
