- The Bangkok Sala Cafe brings a taste of Thailand to Detroit's western suburbs. The specialty of this brightly decorated eatery is pad Thai, a traditional entree of rice noodles and bean sprouts with green onions, egg, peanuts and lemon. Other favorites include pad King (made with mushrooms and other vegetables) and the spicy rice and vegetable dish known as gang gai. Entrees can be individually prepared with beef, pork, chicken or shrimp. For dessert, the coconut ice cream gets high marks.
