• Although Detroit was originally a French city, few traces remain of the Gallic influence...but now there's the Josephine Creperie & Bistro. Casting itself in the mold of a Parisian bistro, the restaurant has carved a niche in Ferndale. The menu is clearly French, including, of course, crepes both sweet and savory, but they also serve other fine dishes such as filet mignon, and spectacular brunches on Sunday mornings. The brunch menu includes wines and champagnes that you can order by the glass or the bottle. On the last Wednesday of each month, the restaurant serves a five course prix fixe dinner for $30 per person. - Karen Hunt
