Public Question Asked by Victoria about Detroit

I'm headed to Detroit this weekend for a wedding. I've never been there. Are there certain must-see's or must-eats? Thanks!

Really depends on what you are into. "The Ford" is a museum in Dearborn that has alot of American history: Kennedy's Lincoln, Rosa Parks bus, Wright Bros. bicycle shop, etc. We have 3 casino's, 4 if you count Windsor, Ontario across the river. MGM Grand is my fav but Greektown has more around it(Greektown is a casino in a neighbourhood called Greektown). Pizzapapolis (in Greektown) is Chicago-style pizza that is better than Gino's in Chicago. Nightlife, downtown Detroit is pretty dead, try Ferndale or Royal Oak for bars and clubs. Everything recently went smoke free except the casino floors. Flower Day at Eastern Market (Downtown) on Sunday if your SO is interested. Downtown Hoedown on the riverfront Hart Plaza, a free country festival. Local favourite Uncle Kracker is playing...go figure. Try a coney dog. Chili, onions and mustard on a hot dog. Senate and Lafayette downtown are the best. Have fun and don't slow down for anything at night in Detroit.LOL
