- This is a remarkable building. It is the office for the drinkable (sic) water supply to Rio San Juan. The water is supplied 2 or 3 days a week for a period of 2-3 hours. You need to be at home when it is supplied but you never know when it is coming. When it does come, unless you have a cistern (a well to hold the water) you need to fill up containers or pump it up to a tank on the roof, assuming there is an electricity supply at the same time (naturally the two companies do not liaise over this). When people have as much water as they can store the children get to play with hose pipes spraying water on the streets.
