Cafe Jorden Rundt

• Located in the affluent coastal suburb of Charlottenlund, Cafe Jorden Rundt is something of a classic, best-known for its architectural design, which dates from 1939 (though it didn't open as a cafe until 1991). A low glass building in the rounded shape of a carousel, green-domed Jorden Rundt sits in an island off the main coastal road, and served originally as restrooms. Both the outside terrace and large glass windows provide excellent views of the nearby Øresund, though its small size and popularity make it often hard to find a seat, particularly at midday. The cafe's fairly basic menu is less unique than the views, with a brunch served every day from 10am-3pm, as well a range of sandwiches and a few mains like chilli con carne and the traditional Danish meat and potato stew 'skipperlabskovs'. Prices range between DKK 70 (light dishes) and DKK 118 (mains). Children's menu available.
