Description:
Le Royal Méridien may have lost some of its splendor to newer rivals, but it remains one of Jumeirah's most extensive beach resort hotels. All of the guest rooms are elegantly appointed with sea-view balconies, and rooms in the Tower building offer private butler service. Sports and leisure activities abound, including tennis, squash, water-skiing, windsurfing, sailing, and kayaking, as well as access to golf, scuba diving, and deep-sea fishing. Tanning by the idyllic outdoor pool may be as active as you're looking to get, but there are also daily recreational activities such as yoga, beach volleyball, French boules, and squash social nights. An extensive list of spa services beckons, including massages in private gazebos scattered about the gardens. For kids, the Penguin Club organizes programs throughout the day with games, arts and crafts, and loads of playtime. Fifteen restaurants and bars are housed in the resort. The public areas require guests to wear modest dress in respect of the local culture.
Facilities: 10 restaurants, 5 bars; 3 outdoor pools; beach club w/watersports; four lighted tennis courts; spa; fitness center; kids' club; concierge; business center; shopping arcade; separate salons for women and men; babysitting; laundry service; dry cleaning; shuttle service to various malls; medical clinic.
