Description:
Located at the entrance to the Bastakiya Heritage area, this boutique hotel in a restored two-story villa opened in 2007. Each of the 10 intimate guest rooms is designed in a traditional Arabian style, most with wood-beam ceilings, four-post queen-size beds, rustic furnishings, and small tile bathrooms. Mumtaz rooms are slightly larger than the Heritage rooms, offering separate seating areas and larger bathrooms. Twenty-four-hour butler service ensures that guests receive individual attention, including fresh fruit daily. Continental or Arabian breakfast is served in the center courtyard, and tea and coffee are available anytime. The lobby has a small gift shop selling candleholders and some antiques. Guests have access to the inn's traditional majlis (traditional Arabian meeting room), as well as to facilities (including the spa) at the nearby Arabian Courtyard hotel.
