JW Marriott hotels around the world are known for their first-rate steakhouses, and this one is no exception. Bragging that the steaks "cut like butter," the chefs here prepare thick, juicy cuts of high quality American, Australian, and Wagyu beef aged just right and bursting with flavor. The JW Trio allows you to sample Tasmanian, Wagyu, and American filets, each served in 4-ounce portions. Grilled lamb or veal chops are also available. The steaks are accompanied by delectable sauces, but otherwise everything is served a la carte. My favorite side dishes are garlic mashed potatoes or steak fries, sautéed mushroom caps, and creamed spinach or green asparagus with hollandaise sauce. The restaurant offers excellent seafood selections as well, including Maine lobsters fresh from the tank. There are two vegetarian options on the menu. Come to the JW Steakhouse for a special occasion: The atmosphere is typical of a New York-style steakhouse, with dark woods, white linen tables, green leather chairs, and dim lighting. For many local residents, this steakhouse is the best in Dubai, and it includes an excellent international wine list. Service is top-notch.
