• The Jumeirah Beach Hotel is a far cry from anything you'd find in Buenos Aires, but this Argentine restaurant inside Dubai's landmark wave-shape resort impressively re-creates the theme of the Argentine pampas. Plantation estate furniture fills the dining space, where cartwheels and other country-themed decorations cover the walls. Your main reminder that this is not South America is the room's 25th-floor panoramic view of the Arabian Gulf. The specialty, of course, is meat, and many varieties of it. The 500-gram beef tenderloin is outstanding, but if you want to sample a broader variety, then order the Espada -- skewers of meat grilled on the visible parilla and then flambéed at your table. The food is good, but the restaurant's main draw is tango: A dancing duo grace the dining room throughout the night backed by the music of a live trio. Nowhere else in Dubai will you find such a show.
