• For a memorable night out, this exotic restaurant inside the Grosvenor House will leave you transported to another time and place. A waterfall cascades down a wall of black marble, handmade Turkish place settings and crystal glasses decorate the tables, and jewel-colored velvet cushions line the walls. Chef Ahmet has designed a creative, modern Turkish menu celebrating a multitude of flavors. The signature dish is braised lamb shank served with a tomato sauce and smoked eggplant. I also love the braised chicken with apricot, honey, saffron, vegetables, and lemon couscous. For dessert, the oven-baked rice pudding is out of this world, but you may already be overindulging with a Turkish coffee mixed with a rich chocolate sauce. The ornately costumed waitstaff provides highly attentive service, and live musicians using traditional Turkish instruments play regional music nightly. Following dinner, many guests enjoy retreating to the opulent outdoor terrace overlooking the marina, where an extensive shisha menu is offered.
