• Located next to the tropical lobby garden of the Grand Hyatt, where big windows look out to the hotel's beautiful landscaped grounds, this delightful Singaporean restaurant is as original as it is delicious. Peppercrab is stylish but informal, and is especially popular with families. It focuses on seafood, and you can watch the cooks hard at work through the glass-enclosed kitchen, which is the centerpiece of the restaurant. Large tanks proudly display the live fish, crabs, and lobsters waiting to be ordered. Each of the restaurant's round tables is designed with sharing in mind. There's no reason to feel squeamish about the crispy, fried baby squids, a favorite Singaporean starter. The signature dish is the pepper crab, a delectable whole crab wok-fried with black pepper sauce. The welcoming staff will suit you up with an apron to protect the mess you're about to make. For dessert, the Ice Kachang is a curiously colorful and refreshing combination of shaved ice with palm seeds, red beans, sweet corn, black jelly, and sugar syrup.
