• The city's best seafood restaurant lies in the souk area of the fantastic Madinat Jumeirah complex. Given its location on the Arabian Gulf, Dubai has longed for such world-class seafood dining, and it finally has in Pisces not just outstanding food, but chic surroundings and impeccable service. An ultra-hip crowd fills the dining room, a cool minimalist space with a chrome and glass staircase leading to a panoramic-view terrace facing the sea. Just about everything tastes wonderful here -- the local hammour, sea bass, lobster, or any of the Pacific seafood selections. Highly recommended are the mussels marinière to start, followed by pan-fried scallops with foie gras and sautéed spinach. Expect Mediterranean preparation in many dishes, with extensive use of olive oil and light herbs. The staff will be happy to accommodate special requests, and most of the dishes can be prepared just about any way you want. The dessert selection is fabulous, as well. Children 9 and under are not allowed.
